Our Purpose
To assist in the development of community partnerships by sharing information, resources and providing an opportunity to network.

We do this by having our monthly forums and annual conference. At our monthly meetings, we have presenters that highlight how their company operates and connects with the Greater Pittsburgh area.  Monthly topics are diverse, ranging from business, science, arts, community organizations, education, health care, and culture. These presentations are a means of bringing together interested parties who would like to know more about what is happening in business and their community.

Our motto is "Leave Your Agenda At The Door" and we guarantee that you will walk away with something that can be used personally or professionally.

  • We are a nice mixture of companies/corporations and not-for-profits.

  • The secret success to this network is that all participants are responsible for building rapport with fellow participants.  This is accomplished by regular attendance and truly getting to know the people sitting around the table.

  • In these times of high technology, the simple personal interaction from one individual to another is a reminder that some of the most beneficial professional contacts are still made in person.

  • Each monthly meeting is distinctive.
Community Bridge-Building Network

A network unlike any other professional network

"We Can All Do More"
How We Are Unique
Serving Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the Greater Pittsburgh area
Our Ambassadors have been chosen to assist those professionals who are new to the Community Bridge-Building Network meetings.  They have been chosen because of their commitment, dedication and professionalism and are valued members of the Community Bridge-Building Network.

Our Philosophy on Networking
Networking means many things to different people. At the Community Bridge-Building Network’s monthly meetings our philosophy has always been that if you show up and leave your own agenda at the door we guarantee you will walk away with something you can use personally or professionally.

The following is the most beautiful example of this:

A couple years ago at one of our monthly meetings a regular member was marketing a golf fundraiser that he and his family have each year in memory of his deceased father. The proceeds from this event were to fund an organ transplant. It was also noted that they were in search of someone who was in need of a transplant to be the benefactor of this gift. One of our members in attendance thought there may be a connection and following the meeting these two parties connected. The result was a five year old little boy who now has a new heart and the mother of this youngster is now an active participant at all our Network meetings.

We are putting a call out to all our members: if you have a story of how you connected, benefited or shared something by coming to our meetings, please e-mail us your story at CBridgeBN@aol.com.  We would like to tell these stories on our website.

The Community Bridge-Building Network

Our Network has been around for many years and has become a wonderful resource for businesses and nonprofits from around the Greater Pittsburgh area.

We welcome all types of businesses and nonprofits to participate.  Currently we have a 60% for profit and 40% nonprofit mix of attendees each month. We still have a special place in our hearts for the ID (Intellectual Disability) career field, because they were a part of our humble beginnings.  We continue to welcome and encourage their Providers, Supports Coordinators and families to get involved and to see all the different types of resources that are out there.  It's a marvelous way for everyone to connect.
